Christmas has come and gone, but happy to say I stayed under my budget and the kids Christmas list was completed. Well almost, some of the things they asked for were just not feasible. Example my 16yr old son asked for a penguin.. Yes! A penguin, he got a stuffed one.

I have had this angel since 1995.

I have had this angel since 1995.

As I’m gearing up for 2013 getting into a new routine with the house, the kids, J and personal routines I’m starting for myself. I was on the hunt for my old Filofax but couldn’t find it. I search ever where and sadly I think it got put in the goodwill box. I was bummed since I had that Filofax since high school. I went ahead and was crafty/thrifty and created my own. With some amazing creators and Filofax lovers I was able to print everything I needed. It’s still I work in progress, but so far I have been using it. I will post either pictures or video.

I also have been slowly working on my organization. This is my hallway closet we use it for our games and I have to say it was annoying me. Every time you open the darn thing something would fall out. So one night of many night I can’t sleep I did the dreadful thing… I open the cabinet and went through it all. Got rid of games that were broken or missing parts and donated ones we haven’t played with.

Next is my scary closet… oh lord help me.

life as we know it

So I have slacked majorly on my posting. It amazes me how regular old life can take over and you have no clue where the time has went. This is currently how I feel. Now that christmas is over off to start prep for the new year eve kid bash we have every year. Even tho my 16 year old is trying to go to Disneyland with is BF. Oh how I wish I could go in his place. Im at working just finished eating my lunch and thought I have time let’s post, but now I’m out of time. So I will post later about what really has been goin on and how I was really close to being put behind bars for murder of the love of my life… hahha. Oh poor thing got a reality check on how it really is to live with a woman.

Books into movies:

I have been searching for another book to read since I’m almost done with Vampire Academy. I prefer series over just one book and the end of story feeling, but if it’s good enough I will read just about anything. Now if only I can make more time for it. I’m currently started managing my time better, since J moved in and we are getting used to things and into a schedule. I need to spread my time everywhere it seems, even my mom is feeling neglected. There are tons of top best books to read or must read lists but I’m going to start with books into movies. Since I love to read a book go watch the movie then complain how it was nothing like the book and they missed this or that. Hahahahaha We woman love to complain.

So, I did some searching… google searching books made into movie 2013 and this is what come up.

Cosmopolis by Don Delillo
Something about a wealthy man needing a haircut at his father barber and a strange situation. None of that appeals to me so off to the next one.

The Host by Stephenie Meyer
Something about alien spirit host our body’s to live among us but one is fighting mental to stay in control of her body. WEIRD yea I know.
Now I have this book and have tried to read it multiply times but I’m just not getting into it. So for me this will be a see only movie.

City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
Ok here is one I want to read but fate has prevented me to. I went shopping about two weeks ago I check the book isle just in case I find a book at a good rate to read. I see a book that says City of Bones, I grab it and happy that I’m only going to pay $8.88 Wal-Mart and their weird prices. I get home settle into bed with my book I was so excited I sent a picture to my friend telling her I found us a new book to read. We read the same books at the same time so we have someone to talk about it with; kind of a two person book club. As I grab my book and start to read none of it makes sense, it’s like a missed an entire section but I just started reading. Well I grab book 4. GRRR! I returned it and I have not went to pick up book 1 I have until Aug 2013 to read it.

Hunger Game by Suzanne Collins
I didn’t like the movie.

Fifty Shades of Grey the series by E.L James
Lots of nastiness and love.
I have read all three books but what woman hasn’t in America.
Book 3 was a disappointment.

Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks
Mysteries woman shows up in a small town and meets a widower with two small children, They fall in love I would assume since its Nicholas Sparks
This is on my list. Who doesn’t love Nicholas Sparks novals.

Why we Broke up by Daniel Handler
A bookworm and a sport captian date and break up.
This is quite a different type of book for Daniel Handler not sure if I can believe he went from Lemony Snicket to this.

Tiger Eyes by Judy Blume
A young girls loses her father and starts over with family in New Mexico.
This is on my list, a good read for me and my daughter.

This should be interesting.

City of Bones
Tiger Eye
Beautiful Creatures
Safe Haven

Daily Prompt: Me Time

What’s your ideal Saturday morning? Are you doing those things this morning? Why not?

Considering two things Me Time is hardly ever available with three kids, two dogs and a boyfriend and the fact that I work on Saturdays; saturdaymornings or much of any me time is really not around. So me time comes in little here and there moments. My idea Saturday morning would be no work, but like that will ever happen. If by some miracle I don’t have to work on Saturdays, it would be waking up naturally not by my five alarms. Nice cup of hot coffee with just enough sugar, I like my a little coffee with my sugar. Some waffles homemade of course with fresh strawberries and simply orange juice. Then snuggle on the couch to catch up on my shows or a movie.

My Hoo adventage to find my “Hoo are you?”

When I first started blogging many years ago I used to write about my life and what was going on… very emotional stuff, thank goodness that’s passed with an occasional cry from a movie. Along the way I used a few weekly prompts kind of like I do now but from this one blog site. Since I started blogging again I couldn’t for the life of me remember the name of the blog, I used to get 5 questions about yourself. I loved this because they would get you going about yourself that we all seem to miss when writing out about me pages. I have search for a week or so… and sitting at my laptop this morning I was racking my brain.. “Ok what was the title….What was it called.” Then I remember it had a WHO in the title, I think! So I went web searching and as I searched and asked myself who what?? With the process of eliminate I figured out that it wasn’t a Who but something close, very similar. I remember it because it had something to do with the theme of the blog. Then it hit me, “HOO are you?” So I search “Hoo are you?” and there it was Night Owl Crafting!!! I scream, but sadly it seems she stopped doing the “Hoo are you?” the beginning of the year. I am hoping she returns back to them since she is getting back into the swing of this with blogging. We all have a life outside of our blogs believe it or not.  It seems she has been busy with a little one. Congrats!!

So what I plan on doing is going to Number #1 of “Hoo are you” and go from there till I do all #62
