My First Youtube Video….

So I uploaded my VERY FIRST YouTube video… and I have to say it wasn’t easy. The video editor I’m using is easy to use, I just havent mastered it yet. I’m new to all of this! I also didn’t realize that there would be a “free trail” in green at the top of the video for the first few seconds, hahaha. Guess I will be buying this program soon. I alr…eady can see where I need improvement in my videos, but here you go anyway…

My very first YouTube video

Then on my birthday Jay got some goodies for our bathroom. We have been looking for a shelf but couldn’t seem to find one. He found one at Target, which is a favorite place. He also got me slippers and a bath pillow. Believe it or not those slippers keep my feet really warm.

My Subscriptions

I recently signed up for three monthly subscriptions., these can be addicting. I used google search and YouTube for reviews. To really what people got every month.  One Blog/website I used a lot was My Subscription addiction she does a really good job showing us the product, descriptions and normal price if you were to purchase full size. She also has a coupon-code sections for current promo to subscribe to monthly boxes. I would love to subscribe to most of the ones she does but I don’t have the funds to. insert sad face 😦  So after a week or so of debating on which boxes to get these are the two I plan on keeping.

 Ipsy

        paperpumpkin

Ipsy is monthly at $10.00 a month. It will consist of hair and makeup products.

Paper Pumpkin is $19.99 a month this includes shipping. This is a craft project, the first one officialy will be sent out in March and will consist of all elements to make 4-5 cards. They include everything but the adhesive.

Now the subscriptions I just signed up to get the month for a penny was Julep I just can’t see paying $19.99 for random nail polish, I would have considered it if it was different brands of nail polish. This is strictly Julep brand that I know nothing about. So this will be my first and final month. I sure do hope they don’t get mad. I did try to purchase other items when I ordered my first month but their website would not allow it.

I would like to find some other reasonable monthly boxes but they seem to not exist. I will be posting box reveal videos and what I think of the items before and after I use them. I was thinking of even doing a tutorial with the Paper Pumkin. We shall see.

Good Night!

Oh!! My YouTube Channel is NenaSays

still learning how to link the page…. if anyone knows please let me know.

One full week of Kinkys

It’s been one full week using the Kinky Curly, I have to say I think I’m in love. Now if I only can figure the right amount for my hair then it will be a dream. It does seem this will be a little pricey considering a quarter of its already gone but we shall see after one full month. The price of beauty!

I didn’t follow the direction the first day… I’m a rule breaker! Hahaha at least I keep telling myself that. The direction stated dripping wet hair brush product through with comb. Of course I paraphrased all that. Come on I have three children to get out of the house in the morning I don’t have time to sit there for dripping wet hair to dry…. SERIOUSLY! To be honest I was concern about the combing the product through… All I kept picturing was greasy strings of hair. So I chucked their directions out the window and did it my own way.

Here are my first day results.

Loved everything about these curls.

Now I did try the directions on the container and let’s just say I won’t be doing that again… Greasy stringy is exactly what I got.

Completely different curls…. I like the soft big curls. How I got those: I brushed my hair the way I always do… Then towel dry so it’s not dripping wet. Split in six section, from the root of the hair down to the ends massage the ick into my hair. Did this my entire head then flipped and added a little more where I felt I missed, fluffed my hair having my hair forward did not touch until dry… That is the most important part.

Kinky Curlys

I as none of you know have naturally mind of its own beautiful curly hair. If anyone one knows finding a product that fits your hair type is hard… Do I use a brush vs fingers… Wash daily or every other day?. The list really goes on and on. Most of the time my hair get done in the morning and mid day it’s up in what I’ve been calling a Nena-Bun but now everyone calls a messy bun.. Which seems to be in these days. I have done some research and found many costly products.. But let’s get real, I’m a single mom wanting glamour hair on a shoe string budget.

I found Curl Box which is a monthly subscription very much like Birch Box or Glam Bag for markup but this one is for hair. I haven’t yet subscribed so I couldn’t comment if this was a good deal or not, I did however ask for a 3 month subscription for Christmas. So I will keep you posted, I think I’m on Santa good list this year……well maybe!

During my research I found this stuff called Kinky Curly I’ve wanted to try and it had great reviews, but like everything else it wasn’t at my local drug store or Sally’s beauty supply. I was not about to order and pay shipping.. I know I sound cheap, but at $16.99 plus shipping for me it wasn’t worth it. 😦 I told myself I would wait until I was in a town that had it in a store I was in to purchase… So basically if I came across it.

This weekend I was once again in the battle of which product to buy that was for normal straight to wavy hair. Standing in the isle over looking every product I haven’t tried yet, I pick two cheap mousses, YES! I said it MOUSSES! I know I know. What I’m I thinking… Why would I want crunch dry hair. That’s all I know.

I go to the next isle only to see in a very small section of a few products I’ve been wanting to try but to cheap to order had have mailed. I couldn’t believe this my chance has finally came, I chug my two bottle of mousse out of the basket and grab the Kinky Curly and head for the door before I change my mind at spending $16.99 for this small jar of ick. Now mind you as I was looking at all these products the poor boyfriend is standing behind me BLOWING my cellphone up say PICK ONE ALREADY! Hahahaha this is another reason he sends me shopping on my own.

Today was my first day I will post pics tomorrow of two different ways of how I applied.
Until tomorrow.
